If you're not into harder stuff, but still want some exposure and long routes, consider Mt. Helen, on the way to Orient Bay. A half dozen moderate slab climbs await, all at least 50 m long. Combined with roadside access and great views of Lake Helen and Orient Bay, this crag delivers on those lazy days out.
This crag has much to offer beginning and experienced climbers not out for a tendonectomy. The routes are all close together and offer plenty of options for multi-pitch adventures or casual slab cruises. The healthily spaced bolts on some routes have most climbers supplementing their draws with a small trad rack. Most routes are similar in character on the upper portion, though some offer thuggish overhanging starts up to 5.10 near the right edge of the face.
