Centennial Bluffs

Members watch as Gabriel Dore styles Randy's Crack at the Bluffs. This crag is perhaps the most popular with beginners and experienced alike, due to its convenience. Located within the city limits and overlooking Boulevard Lake, the bluffs have provided many beginner climbers with their first vertical experience. They are also popular with boulderers and experienced climbers wanting to squeeze a few routes in after work. While you're there, don't miss Galaxion, a classic 5.10 TR problem, or the great beginner's lines at the Orangeman Wall. Or just a pick a line go! The readily accessible clifftops make the area popular with the toproping crowd. The longest and quickest routes to set up are probably those in the Powerline Corridor, and offer lots of variety within a close concentration. Remember to help out with the Alpine Club's Annual Bluffs Clean-Up every spring.
Come out and join the club, socialize, learn to climb, learn to set up top rope anchors and push your own limits on Tuesday nights during the summer months. The club meets every Tuesday night (weather permitting) for open climbing, starting in the spring as soon as it is dry enough and continuing until the clocks change in October. We're always ready to welcome new members or those interested in becoming trip leaders to help hump gear and set up/tear down anchors.

You cannot acquire experience by making experiments. You cannot create experience. You must undergo it.
